Did you know that Shrove Tuesday was the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast and pancakes are the perfect way of using up these ingredients?

We celebrated our church pancake day on Sunday 26th February with savoury and sweet pancakes. Tony and Janet did us proud!

Operation Christmas Child 2015

The shoeboxes from our church last Christmas went all the way to Zambia! This is the first time our boxes have gone to Africa.

Below is the Thank You email we received...

Thank You!

Thank you for sending a shoebox gift with Operation Christmas Child. Because of you, a child in Zambia received a gift to remember.  Your gift was one of 51,146 shoeboxes sent to Zambia from the UK and 11.2 million packed globally.

Once more children in need, all over the globe, experienced the joy of a simple shoebox gift and the hope that comes with knowing they are loved and not forgotten. Children like Princess, a little girl who was initially so shy that she did not open her box with the other children. Instead, she held onto it tightly and ran outside to open it with her friends and family.  As she explored each item and passed it to her mother, her face began to change. She took an immediate liking to a pink, glittery ball and a heart shaped lip gloss, which she carried around with her until they went off home. This box was definitely meant just for her!

Thank you for partnering with Operation Christmas Child in 2015 to share God’s love in a tangible way with children across the world over the Christmas season.
